WHAT IS MLI?

The Miami Leadership Institute (MLI) is a college internship built to educate, equip, and empower world changing leaders. In partnership with Southeastern University (SEU), rising leaders have the opportunity to earn a college degree while gaining hands-on ministry experience in our in house internship streams at Trinity Miami.

WHAT ARE STREAMS?

MLI streams are the specific departments of Trinity Church in which leaders will be trained in and earn ministry practicum credits. Our current streams are:

  • TCKiDS
  • Vous Youth
  • MLI
CAN I INTERN IN MORE THAN ONE STREAM AT A TIME?

Interns are assigned to one stream per semester and we advise against participating in more than one stream at a time.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?

Financial Breakdown

  • Application Fee – $0
  • Tuition ($275/per credit hour) – $6,600
  • Site Fee ($2,000/per semester) – $4,000
  • Tech Fee ($100/per semester) – $200
  • Ministry Practicum Mentoring – Free
  • Ministry Practicum Tuition (6 Credits) – Free

Total Academic Cost – $10,800

Bachelor of Science in Ministerial Leadership

  • General Education Core: 38 Hours
  • Biblical and Theological Studies: 21 Hours
  • Ministerial Leadership Studies: 30 Hours
  • Pastoral Ministry Minor: 9 Hours
  • Ministerial Practicum: 24 Hours

Total Program Hours– 122 Hours

Bachelor of Science in Business & Professional Leadership

  • General Education Core: 38 hours
  • Religion Core: 12 Hours
  • Business & Professional Leadership Core: 37 Hours
  • General Electives: 33 Credit Hours

Total Program Hours– 120 Hours

Associate of Ministerial Leadership

  • General Education Core: 18 Hours
  • Biblical and Theological Studies: 18 Hours
  • Ministerial Leadership Studies: 12 Hours
  • Ministerial Leadership Practicum (General Electives): 12 Hours

Associate of Arts

  • General Education Core: 34 Hours
  • Biblical and Theological Studies: 15 Hours

MLI is accredited through Southeastern University. Southeastern University is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools’ Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees.

ARE THERE FINANCIAL AID OPPORTUNITIES?

As students of SEU, financial aid grants and student loans are available. All students are required to fill out the Federal Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA). For more information on Financial Aid click here. (https://www.seu.edu/financial/eveningonline/)

HOW LONG DOES THE PROGRAM RUN FOR?

The associate degrees programs and the bachelor’s degree programs run for 2 years and 4 years respectively. Each semester is 16 weeks and divided into two 8 week sessions. The fall semester runs from late August to early December and the spring runs from mid-January to early May.

I AM AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT. CAN I ATTEND MLI?

Yes, the Miami Leadership Institute accepts international students through Southeastern University.

CAN I WORK WHILE ATTENDING MLI?

Yes. The majority of students use the days they have off for paid part-time work.

DOES MLI PROVIDE HOUSING?

No, housing is not provided. If you require accommodation, please notify us and we will endeavor to assist you.

AM I ABLE TO BE CREDENTIALED AS A MINISTER THROUGH THIS PROGRAM?

Yes. Through your classes with SEU you can begin your credentialing process to become a minister with the Assemblies of God.
